Peace Seekers

Dying Blind

By CHRISTOPHER TOWNLEY

an eye for an eye

leaves everyone blind

i aim to take life

bullets through your mind

i wish you could see

that we’ve crossed the line

i captured your sight

as you revoked mine

death following death

the tragedy builds

emotions deceased

i’m dead from the kill

i’ll trade my eyes

to reveal the truth

death isn’t worth it

my blindness is proof

stop seeking vengeance

why won’t you forgive

rethink your morals

for whom do you live

the Saviour says no

i will not respond

i’ll mimic those actions

for He is my God

you may not believe

that my Lord exists

but please realize revenge must resist
